Sports & Mobility Focused
Athlete Recovery Protocol
The Athlete Recovery Protocol is a performance-first session designed for the specific demands of athletic training. Whether you compete, train consistently, or maintain an active lifestyle, this protocol targets the muscle groups most affected by your activity pattern. It combines deep compression, active stretching techniques, and myofascial release to support recovery, helps you stay ahead of training strain, and restore range of motion. Designed for gym, CrossFit, running, tennis, golf, and any discipline that demands physical precision.

What makes this ritual different
Athlete Recovery is the maintenance tier of our performance work — built to keep you moving between training blocks rather than rebuild you after a hard one. It pairs deep compression and myofascial release through the muscle groups your sport actually loads with therapist-guided active stretching to support range of motion. A kinesio (KT) taping specialist is available for this protocol if you'd like taping applied for comfort toward the end. If you need a deeper, longer intensive rebuild, Elite Recovery is the tier above it.
The CasaBliss experience
Before
Your therapist starts with a short check-in about your sport, your current training load, and where you feel tight or overused. You set the areas to prioritize and agree on a pressure range before any work begins. Once they arrive, setup of the table and linens takes only a few minutes.
During
Work moves in a structured rhythm — deep compression and myofascial release through the loaded muscle groups, then therapist-guided active stretching to open range of motion. Because active stretching involves gentle guided movement of your limbs, your therapist talks you through each one and adjusts to what your body allows. If kinesio taping is part of your session, it's applied toward the end.
After
You're given a moment to get up slowly and rehydrate. Your therapist can note which areas felt tightest and, if you asked for taping, explain what was applied and why. Full breakdown and cleanup happen before they leave — your space is left exactly as it was.
Your comfort remains in your control
Professional draping is maintained throughout — only the muscle group being worked is uncovered at any moment, and the rest of you stays covered. Because this protocol includes active stretching, your therapist guides each movement and checks in as they go; you can slow it down, skip a stretch, or stop at any point. Pressure runs firm to deep by design, but it's discussed up front and stays fully adjustable — say the word and it changes. You're always free to decline an area, keep certain regions covered, or ask for quiet.

If your recovery need is concentrated in tired, overworked feet after long runs or hours spent standing.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Elite Recovery?
Athlete Recovery is the maintenance tier — deep compression, active stretching, and myofascial release to keep you moving between training. Elite Recovery is the intensive rebuild for when you're coming back from a heavy block or event and want deeper, longer work.
What should I wear?
Whatever's comfortable. Because the session includes active stretching, many clients keep on athletic shorts and a sports bra or fitted top so the guided movement is easier — but full professional draping is always available if you'd rather. Your therapist works with whatever you choose.
How much of my body is uncovered?
Only the area being worked at that moment. Professional draping is maintained the entire session, and the rest of you stays covered.
How firm is the pressure?
It runs firm to deep by design, since deep compression is central to the protocol. You set the range with your therapist before starting, and it stays adjustable at any point — nothing goes deeper than you want.
What does the active stretching involve?
Your therapist gently guides your limbs through stretches to support range of motion, talking you through each one. You stay relaxed while they do the movement, and you can slow it down or skip any stretch that doesn't feel right.
Can I request kinesio (KT) taping?
Yes — a taping specialist is available for this protocol. Mention it at the check-in and your therapist applies it toward the end of the session for comfort and support. It's optional and only done if you ask.
Can I stay quiet, or do I need to talk the whole time?
You can absolutely stay quiet. Beyond the short check-in about your training and the cues during guided stretches, your therapist follows your lead — some clients chat, most prefer calm. Just ask for quiet.
Are there areas you'll avoid?
Any area you name. Tell your therapist at the start what to skip and they'll work around it — no explanation needed.
When should I book relative to training or a race?
This protocol works well as regular recovery between sessions and in the days after hard efforts. Note that acute injuries need about 72 hours before hands-on work, and active inflammation or a suspected fracture should be seen by a doctor first.
What does the therapist bring?
Everything needed — a professional massage table, fresh linens, oil or lotion, and optional aromatherapy and music. Kinesio tape is brought when you've requested taping. You don't need to provide anything.
How much space is needed?
A clear space of approximately 12×12 feet — enough for the massage table with room to walk around it; a bedroom, living room, or open area works well. The stretching is done at the table, so no extra floor space is required.
Can I request a specific therapist, and how do I book?
You can request a preferred therapist when you book, and we'll honor it based on availability. Booking is done online — choose Athlete Recovery, pick your 60- or 90-minute session and a time, and we handle the rest.
